Cybersecurity Master's student. Passionate about finding and fixing vulnerabilities. Previously at Boeing and Intel.
The (Short) Resume
- Education: Bachelor's in Software Systems from SFU. Master's in Cybersecurity (in progress).
- Experience:
- SFU — Teaching Assistant for CMPT 373 — grading exams, holding office hours, and supporting students with software development and modern C++ concepts.
- Boeing — created automated alerts for unusual logins and resource usage, built dashboards to track anomalies, and supported security investigations.
- Intel — automated workflows with Python to save time and reduce manual errors, contributed to open-source video encoder projects.
- Skills: Network security, incident response, penetration testing, software development, and more.
What I’m Exploring
- Building tools that automate security monitoring and response.
- Practical ways to integrate security into fast-paced development cycles.
Highlights
- Discovered a real-world bank website vulnerability via HackerOne (ethically reported).
- Saved Boeing countless hours by automating log analysis and alerting systems.
- At Intel, streamlined workflows that made processes nearly hands-free.
- Survived North America’s biggest hackathon — with more coffee than code crashes.
Lessons Learned
- In cybersecurity, paranoia is just “being prepared.”
- The simplest solution usually takes the most thought.
- Sleep is non-negotiable — even hackers need rest.
What’s Next
Finishing my Master's, building a portfolio of security tools, and eventually protecting the world from cyber threats. Always asking: How can I stay one step ahead of attackers?
